Do the math
Whether you're sitting for free, or getting paid, house sitting can be a wonderful way to save, or make, good money.

We are new to house-sitting world although we are well versed in the home-swapping world as we have a vacation home that we swap.
Our pets adopted us within the last few years. Our loving dog is Mipha (she had previously adopted my grandson and his fiance who had to give her up when they moved). Our very independent cat (indoor only) is Bella. She is a stray who decided to stay. Neither of them has any medical needs, although as a long-haired cat, Bella does have those occasional hairballs.
Mipha 's greatest joy in life is chasing squirrels in our backyard. She also enjoys an occasional walk but does not expect it. Bella's greatest joy in life is just lying around but she also enjoys being brushed...she is friendly, but not needy in the least! Both are accustomed to being left alone all day if you are out and about doing exploring of your own. During a longer sit, we also might be able to arrange to have some family come by to feed and check in on Mipha and Bella if you were interested in taking your own weekend getaway while here.
A little about us, we are a retired couple who love travel but are homebodies when not doing so! We have lived in our home in Texas for over 40 years! It is an average, comfortable, 2-story 4-bedroom home in a suburban development We also own a vacation home in Italy. (a bargaining chip down the road to someone maybe!!)
Would love to chat and provide further info to anyone considering a stay in our home which is about 30 minutes outside of Houston. In our opinion, a car is necessary as there is no public transport system nearby.
