2) You want a quiet, clean retreat and don't need to be in the center of a cool town (though great things are within driving distance)

Single person only.
Looking for a calm and sweet cat whisperer to do feeding, litter, play time. Very minor upkeep for the rest of the house. Must be OK with raw meat. Must keep careful control over exterior doors since they are indoor only cats. One is extremely scared and would not be able to be recovered if escaped. Please comment on the cat care situation so I know that you understand.

I have 2 rescued cats. They are indoor only.
5 y/o female, black, spayed:
Small and sweet, traumatized, runs and hides, but LOVES laps, being held when she is comfortable. Playful. Best caretaker is a low energy person who talks and moves slowly and calmly. It would be great to have a cat whisperer to help her come out of her shell, but at least someone who will make sure she gets fed despite her tendency to hide.

3 y/o male brown tabby, neutered: Fairly confident, doesn't mind people and LOVES food. He prefers minimal petting, but he often loves to sleep next to a human at night. He's a good, communicative, sweet boy. Gets playful with zoomies.
They are both young and playful, with their distinct personalities. Sometimes they fight with each other but generally are tolerant.

PET CARE
Twice daily feedings - One is kibble. I have an autofeeder in case you need to be out at a meal time.
Second feeding is prepared/frozen raw chicken and beef pieces. You must be comfortable handling and defrosting this.
Keep clean water available, and give a food supplement with their meal.
Litter boxes cleaned at least once a day.
Play with and pay attention to them. They have their favorite toys.
If you work from home, it's excellent, so you can have windows open for them (sliding glass door) for their fresh air, sunshine, and bird watching.
You will probably spend 30 min per day on their basic needs, and the rest is bonus hanging out with them.

THE HOUSE
Lompoc, CA. 3bd/2a quiet, peaceful house with high ceilings and a nice yard, for a single person only, due to the shy cat. You will probably stay in the master bedroom with Cal King Tempurpedic bed and an empty closet for your use. This is sometimes used as an AirBnB. Linens and ample storage space provided. Everything will be cleaned for your arrival.
Fast WiFi, laundry, kitchen w dishwasher and gas stove, very nice forested area flanking the house. Gated community.
Very good heating. Natural air conditioning from ocean breezes. Avg summer temp is 70.
+Non-smoking home (outside is OK if needed)
+Only natural cleaning products, no artificial fragrances
+Not compatible with someone who uses spray perfume (unless only essential oils/natural ingredients) or fabric softener at the house. Essential oil diffusers are toxic to cats.

LOCATION
Halfway between Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, with cool ocean breezes and coastal clouds.
Driving distance to great beaches, Santa Barbara, wine country, and more.
Very relaxing environment here and slightly lower cost of living and gas prices than the surrounding area.
Rocket launches from SpaceX happen here so you may be able to witness some.
Very close to Walmart and other shops/restaurants.

OTHER TASKS
Plant care is very minimal. Just a few houseplants once a week, and a couple pots outside near the door. The rest is on irrigation. There will be the usual trash and mail.

I will ask you to arrive the evening before my departure, so that you can get acquainted with everything. If you do not want to book a hotel, you are welcome to stay in the master suite but it will be separated from my home for that night, so we will not share the home. For that night, you will have access to a fridge and microwave if needed.
