We need a house sitter to take care of our beautiful mountain home while we travel. Our home is an A-frame, 1760 square feet, in a rural area surrounded by trees. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, a big deck, a hot tub, a 1/2 acre fenced yard, a wi-fi network, and a flat screen TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime but no cable.
There are 2 super-cute affectionate dogs, both about 32 pounds. One of them is older, has only 3 legs and would love to go for walks, but really she can't. The other is very athletic and she can go anywhere and is a joy to watch run.
The house is at 7,000 feet, so it's much cooler than surrounding areas. We're 25 miles from Albuquerque and 45 from Santa Fe. There is no public transportation in the area. We are adjacent to great hiking trails.
The house sitter must not smoke or allow others to smoke in the house or yard.
Rick and Phyllis were a pleasure to work with. They were welcoming and accommodating to our travel dates and stayed in communication when needed. Their home and dogs made it impossible not to fall in love with New Mexico. We truly had a hard time leaving and would love to sit for them again.
Rick and Phyllis were perfect hosts, very nice people. Gracie and Sweet Pea were hilariously fun to watch and play with. They are both well-trained and fiercely obedient. The house was clean and comfortable. This is a five star sit and we would love to return.
