Hi!
I'm off on a sailing adventure with a friend, and sadly, my loving companion, Twix will have to stay behind. I would like you to come a day early so I can show you around - so, the sit will be about 2 weeks.
Twix is a 9-year-old (going on 3) mini-Pinscher and we live in lovely Avila Beach, a mile away from the sand, dog park, piers, restaurants, kayaking, and lighthouse. It is the closest beach to San Luis Obispo (6 miles) and is full of nature. I regularly see otters, dolphins, sea lions, and pelicans on the pier. Pismo Beach is 4 miles south.
I need someone to stay with Twix for much of the day - he's happiest when he is with you. He loves to walk on the Bob Jones Trail, or the paths within this 1,000-acre hilly, gated community where you are likely to see deer and wild turkeys, and lots of birds since Avila is a bird sanctuary. He never tires out, even when I run him on the beach.

If it is sunny my deck plants might need extra water, but Twix is my main concern. There is a small yard off the bottom deck, where he can stay for a few hours while you are out, just not every day, please.
It is like being on vacation here and the 3 BR house has all the amenities - wifi, streaming, laundry and most likely you can use my car, since I usually take the train to LAX airport. Restaurants are within walking distance and my neighbors are friendly and will offer a helping hand. I keep a tidy and clean house, and this gated community with a guard is very safe.

House was lovely, Location super, Debra fabulous and Twix was just a dream! He was an incredibly sweet boy & was great fun to hang with. He loves chasing lizards & pigeons & otherwise just happy to have someone to hang with. Hope to get a chance to hang with him again!
I had so much fun hanging with Debra and caring for lil Twix! Debra is so nice and such a thoughtful host. It was so kind of her to give me a lift from and to the train station, she even shopped for my favorite foods. I arrived a few days before she departed for her trip so she showed me around the scenic beach town. Deb and Twix’s pocket of heaven is truly spectacular! As we prepared for a sit with Twix, Debra's communication was great. She sent us a document with an abundance of information and regularly kept in touch.
Disappointing to Debra, and us, but out of anyone's control, a hurricane in the Yucatan prevented her from going. Although we did not, Debra offered for us to still stay in her lovely home. Anyone would be lucky to not only care for Twix but Deb has a lovely home near a dog beach that Twix loves to go to.
Sweet, sweet Twix was such a wonderful little pup. He was always well behaved, full of fun energy and very affectionate.
I really do miss him!
Our afternoon walk along the beautiful beach was always the highlight of our day! We also enjoyed the woodland trails close by.

We recently had the pleasure of pet sitting for a small dog named Twix, who is full of energy and loves going on walks. Debra’s house in Avila Beach was a perfect location for my husband and me. We found it easy to take Twix for walks at Avila or Pismo Beach, both of which are beautiful locations with scenic views and plenty of space for energetic dogs like Twix to run around. It was such a great pleasure sitting for Debra! Twix was a really sweet pup and quite funny. He's very responsive and was a really great sleeper at night -- loves burrowing into his blankets. Debra's house is in a gorgeous gated community in the hills of Avila beach, surrounded by hiking trails, which I took Twix on. He's a great runner and can keep going consistently for almost an hour!
