Amazing neighborhood within blocks of the police department, newly built in 2015 with access to a garage over Thanksgiving week! 25 minutes to DIA, 25 minutes to downtown Denver, and 45 minutes from foothills/mountains! 3 bdrm, 2.5 bath home with unfinished basement, 2 home offices set up for use and a cleaner comes once a week to do all bathrooms, dusting and floors (sorry- dishes/counters, bed making and laundry is all DIY 🤣).
We have 2 dogs, an almost 13 yr old Aussie Shepard mix with hip dysplasia that does very little and a 5 yr old Maltipoo that requires (demands) some attention but is also cool to hangout in big sis's kennel. Both are kennel trained however, we just close off carpeted areas and allow free range on main floor- old lady does sleep in bedroom with us, Maltipoo prefers a kennel away from everyone for night time.
We have 4 cats- one that will only approach when necessary, 9 the old Norwegian/Maine coon mix, should not be picked up or locked in anywhere with other animals because he hates everyone and everything. He does go outside briefly for rolls on the concrete but is scared of everything. Another cat is a rescue and bolts outside but MUST not go outside or if he does, needs brought back in- neighbors will report and animal control will pickup and fine us :-(. 2 younger cats- curious and smugglers, one may hide while the other flops around for belly pets.
Two box turtles in enclosures- can run around but best to be kept put away so old lady dog doesn't pick them up and carry them around in her mouth.
Dogs are fed twice a day, same time, different foods. They have a large water dish, we will not require or request dog poop pickup from back yard. Dog walks will not be necessary- just availability to let dogs out several times a day and be with them at night.
Cats have self feeder (if you picked them up you would def notice) that needs filled once or twice a week. No soft foods or special care outside refilling water fountain daily and scooping litter boxes daily (there are several).
Turtles are fed daily- one day a protein source, the next day a combination food- all will be premade (except worms- those will just be in a container) and just need thawed and placed in with them. Water dumped and refilled daily. Humidifier refilled daily- lights and humidifier are on timers.
Plants are given water once a week and ignored- or they will die 🤣.
Notes: we are willing to consider families/couples and other pets. It is a holiday week and understand that we can help each other by swapping services for those visiting CO to visit their families and friends!
