Renton Washington

We’re Cathy and Don and have lived in the Seattle suburb of Renton for over 25 years. Both of us love to hike, snow ski, travel and play with our dog Baxter. Spring in western Washington is great as the trees and bushes are all starting to bloom. Come see the Rhododendrons, Dogwood trees, Cherry blossoms, Azaleas and many others. The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival should be in full swing during your stay.
Our home is a 2400 sf split level located in a typical suburban neighborhood. The home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The backyard is very private with a greenbelt directly behind the house. There is a large deck, jacuzzi and swimming pool in the backyard that makes it one of our favorite places. The downstairs portion of the house has a relaxing media room and office space. Also located on the lower level is a bedroom with ensuite bathroom where the sitters will stay. The house has high speed internet WiFi access throughout for your use.
Our home is located 0.25 miles from public transportation. Stores and restaurants are one mile away. Distances to various sites in the area are; Seattle is 20 miles away, downtown Renton is 5 miles, SeaTac Airport is 12 miles, and Mount Rainier National Park is 50 miles. Hiking trails are plentiful in the area and we can provide a list of our favorite local hikes.
Baxter is a very mellow, easy to take care of seven year old dog. He looks forward to his morning and afternoon walks. We usually take him on one longer walk each day. This can be a hike or just around the neighborhood and or greenbelt. He loves to meet other dogs or just smell where other dogs have been. Baxter eats twice a day. He would love to eat as much people food as possible, but we like for him to just have the dog food. We ask that Baxter not be left alone for more than 5-6 hours at a time but he's happy to go everywhere with you.
There are three or four house plants that need some water from time to time. The pool may also need water as well. A check of the pool water and chlorine levels every week is required.
