House/Garden sit for 1 Person in New Orleans

Hello, My name is Missy. I love to travel and every summer I go somewhere new for 3 months. I don't have any pets but I have a beautiful flower garden(s) that needs care because in the summer plants (and weeds) can grow very fast here. So I need somebody who knows a lot about plants.
My house is in the Garden District, a 4 mile stretch of historic homes between the Mississippi River and St. Charles Avenue. This is the perfect location for you to feel like a local.
Cute, modern, 1,400 square foot (130 sm) single level home in a quiet, safe, historic neighborhood. Within walking distance to a supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, coffee shops, bars, antique store, galleries, Lafayette Cemetery, St. Charles Avenue, parades, cafes and restaurants galore. Two blocks away is the Mississippi River.
The garden may require watering depending on how much it rains. There will be weeds to pull, spent blooms and branches to cut pretty much every single day. It's quite tropical here and in this climate the garden can get out of control very quickly if not tended to daily. Some plants grow 6+ inches a day. Also, the bugs that like to eat the plants will have to be dealt with. A fairly detailed understanding of plants is essential for this housesit. Please tell me about your experience with plants and gardening. A small strip of grass at the edge of the sidewalk will need string trimming. The sidewalk should be kept clean of free advertising and other debris, and the mail will need collecting. Photos and communication will be via WhatsApp. Please ensure that you have this app. The home has high-speed Wifi and all the modern conveniences, except a TV.
There are no pets to care for. The duties are tending to the house and several flower beds.
Sitter should be a non-smoker, it's important that you leave the house clean. My preference is for a retired person but a love of plants is the most important thing. This house sit is for 1 person.
