Santa Fe New Mexico

It was a wonderful experience sitting for Gail and Steve and taking care of their sweet dog Tango. They picked me up at the small airport and we all went for a delicious dinner along with their son who was kind enough to come by the house to make sure I had whatever I needed. Tango the doodle dog was a constant companion even sharing my yoga mat and always happy to go for short walks in her neighborhood. There were birds singing throughout the day in their big yard filled with bird feeders ... MOREIt was a wonderful experience sitting for Gail and Steve and taking care of their sweet dog Tango. Tango the doodle dog was a constant companion even sharing my yoga mat and always happy to go for short walks in her neighborhood. There were birds singing throughout the day in their big yard filled with bird feeders and a birdbath. We communicated easily when there was something to talk about. If you want to experience a slice of nature in the quiet area outside of town I highly recommend sitting for Steve and Gail. It was hard to say goodbye to Tango:)

This was our first time housesitting via this site, and it was such a good experience! I feel incredibly lucky. Gail and Steve were kind and relaxed, and took time to get to know us even though they had a flight the next morning, which I appreciated. Tango is a real sweetheart; affectionate and gentle. The house inside and out is absolutely beautiful, and the neighborhood is peaceful, with miles of arroyo outside the back gate, while being close to grocery stores and downtown. The fenced-in ... The fenced-in yard is huge, but going on walks with Tango was a pleasure because she is so well-behaved I could take her off leash in the arroyo and she would come back when called. Gail and Steve also generously let us stay an extra night, so our travels afterward were easier. Thank you so so much!

The property is a tranquil oasis with comfy spots to relax & swing. The location is close to all the shops, historic sites, and galleries in Santa Fe. What a lovely experience! Gail and Steve are wonderful hosts, very easy going and also set clear expectations. I loved walking the arroyos just behind their house. I felt like I got a truly unique experience of Santa Fe that way. Their home is lovely, clean and easy to take care of, including the two sweet pups! Thanks!

Gail and Steve were lovely and their two dogs are so sweet and friendly. It was a joy to sit for them, the house was amazing, and the area was a blast to explore. I hope to come back in the future!

This was our third sit for Gail and Steve. This alone should say something. They are great people and so easy to work with and understand. Rodi and Tango are delightful and affectionate in their individual doggy-ness, and their mom and dad have carefully updated us each time on quirks related to their aging. The home is lovely and comfortable and … of course, there is Santa Fe. In short if we lived closer we would love to see these four more often.

It was a pleasure house-sitting for Gail and Steve. Having dinner together upon my arrival gave us a chance to get to know each other better. They communicated things very well regarding the care of the dogs and home. The dogs are easy-going and lovable with their own distinct personalities. Their beautiful home is in a peaceful setting and very comfortable. It was a great experience overall. I would highly recommend!

Everything about this sit was excellent. Most importantly, Tango and Rodi were wonderful dogs to care for. I miss them already, especially that soulful look that Tango gets when she wants some attention. And Rodi, the "old man", is slowing down a bit but still loves his daily walks. Also Gail & Steve's hacienda is very peaceful with its gardens and huge covered siting area, all within 10 minutes of the Plaza. In addition they were thoughtful in their concern that we enjoy our time in Santa Fe, as much we were anxious to take good care of three sweet and charming animals. In addition they were thoughtful in their concern that we enjoy our time in Santa Fe, as much we were anxious to take good care of three sweet and charming animals. The house is lovely, comfortable and in a neighborhood that is quiet, yet very close to the historic Plaza and downtown; restaurants, museums, galleries and nearby places to walk and explore. Our primary responsibility, taking care of the animals, was a pleasure. Otherwise we were free to find our own balance of Santa Fe fun and stimulation, rest and relaxation. For us the house was just so comfortable and the dogs so companionable that after a day of Santa Fe experience we chose to spend many evenings just relaxing. Gail, Steve, and their sweeties are the Best!
