Sit local, or anywhere
You can keep it close to home, or you can use house sitting as a way to travel on a shoestring. It's all good, and it starts here.

Semi-retired couple would like to travel a few times a year, but need help with goat/sheep farm. We have two giant schnauzers that work the livestock with us, but are also our pets that come in the house. We have one slightly injured house cat that is still a good mouser and wants to prowl at night occasionally. All of our house animals we just make sure food and water are out for them. We have free range chickens that get scratch every day. We also have peacocks that we keep their food and water filled by checking daily. We have about 10 goats and 100 sheep that get feed daily and maintain water in the troughs. They are free range and know when it is time to be fed. We have a garden seasonally that has drip irrigation. Eggs get collected daily. No yard work or house cleaning are necessary other than cleaning up after yourself. Our home is a log house with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. We have two fine porches for drinking coffee and watching the day go by. It’s very quiet and peaceful. A great place to rest the mind and soul.
