We need a house sitter

Central Coast & Central Valley - Santa Cruz

We are looking for non-smoker house sitter(s) who will look after our adorable dogs Sophia and Mango. Sophia is well behaved but 16 year old dog., while Mango is a two year old (very active) golden retriever. We typically walk Sophie for a short period while Mango gets a longer walk (or run if you prefer) in the nearby redwood forest (Nisene Marks) or the beach for about 45-minute twice daily (morning and evening). Our second concern is to find someone who can also care for our house and contact our friends/family if anything is amiss.

We live in Rio del Mar, Santa Cruz County in California along the pristine Monterey Bay. Our house is a 5-minute walk to the beach and a 10-minute drive to a redwood forest, both of which we walk/hike/run (your choice) daily with our dog. The house is spacious and comfortable with the normal amenities including fast internet connection. A car is available if needed during the sit. We are happy to pick up/drop you off at airport too.

Pet owners Judit and Carey are a great couple with a wonderful home in a fantastic beach community. Walking around the neighborhood and down to the beach with their delightful dog Sophia was a pleasure. I’m very thankful that I had the opportunity to meet them and to help them with Sophia during their travels.

No rating 5 star sit!!! Sophia was a great dog to sit. Easy going, very intelligent, minded well. A lot of fun. She does need to go on long walks. Carey and Judit were wonderful. Very generous. Had us over for dinner and took us to all of Sophia's favorite walking spots. The home and area have a mountain cabin vibe with an easy walk to the beach and park. Beach meets redwood forest.
