Rifle Colorado

Hello! We are looking for someone who loves animals and would like to visit the Colorado mountains for three weeks in March/April. This is the perfect time to visit for late winter recreation.

Our three-bedroom home is comfortable and spacious for a single or couple, with beautiful views surrounded by pastureland, mountains, and sage meadows. Our house has an open floor-plan upstairs with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. You will love the panoramic views of the mountains from our wrap-around deck. We also have a finished walk-out basement that includes a spacious bedroom and bathroom, as well as a pool table, TV, and hot tub. If you work remotely, we are set up with high-speed wireless internet that is very reliable.

We have 2 cats, 2 dogs, 4 goats, and 6 chickens on a 4-acre "farmette" on the Western Slope of Colorado. House sitting responsibilities include daily care of the animals. The acreage is completely fenced in and the dogs are able to run without leaving the property. The chickens roost in a coop at night but are let out to "free-range" each morning. They will give you fresh eggs every day. The goats are friendly and fairly low maintenance, so basically just fresh water, hay, and feed daily. They are fenced in separately on the upper 2 acres.

The map in this ad does not show our true location. We are 25 minutes north and east of town at an elevation of 6400 feet, nestled between mountain ranges. If you are an outdoor recreation enthusiast, we've got a variety of options close by. Because of our proximity to the mountains, we have access to some terrific trails for snowshoeing in the nearby White River National Forest, as well as on Grand Mesa to our west. We are also about 30 minutes from Glenwood Springs, known for their hot springs resorts, and about 75 minutes from Vail, Beaver Creek, and Aspen/Snowmass ski resorts,.

Note: Our home is not suitable for small children under the age of five. We also cannot accommodate other pets.
