This might be a great sit for you if:
1) You love cats and have experience with shy cats
2) You want a quiet, clean retreat and don't mind being in a small town (with world class destinations 30-60 mins away)
3) You are already passing through Southern California, or you are motivated to come out (year-round excellent weather!)
4) You want time to explore during the day.
5) You will be the only person in the home

As for me, I am probably more like you than most hosts - used to the nomadic lifestyle, travel, farm trades, etc, but for the time being, I find myself on the other side of things and I need some help with the kitties!

Potential for repeat visits through mid 2025.
Looking for a calm cat person to do feeding, litter, play time.
You'll need to be OK handling raw meat. Very minor tasks for the rest of the house.
Cats are indoor only and you'll need to be careful about the doors. Please comment on the cat care situation so I know that you understand.

PETS
2 young indoor only rescued cats. One is friendly with strangers and the other will usually hide, but warms up to calm people. Your job will be to manage and monitor feeding and make sure the shy cat gets her meal and her food supplement.

PET CARE
It should require about 30 mins total daily, between morning and evening tasks.
Twice daily feedings - One is kibble. For kibble, I have an autofeeder in case you need to be out at a meal time.
Second feeding is prepared/frozen raw chicken and beef pieces plus some necessary food supplements.

Litter boxes cleaned once a day.
Give them some human-cat playtime. They have their favorite toys.

THE HOUSE - Note there are no TVs in the house, but great WiFi.
Lompoc, CA. 3bd/2a quiet, peaceful house with high ceilings and a nice yard. You'll get the master suite. Cal King Tempurpedic bed and an empty closet for your use. This is sometimes used as an AirBnB. Linens and ample storage space provided. Everything will be cleaned for your arrival.
Fast WiFi, laundry, kitchen w dishwasher and gas stove, very nice forested area flanking the house. Gated community.
Very good heating. Natural air conditioning from ocean breezes. Avg summer temp is 70.
+Non-smoking home (outside is OK if needed)
+Only natural cleaning products, no artificial fragrances
+Not compatible with someone who uses spray perfume (unless only essential oils/natural ingredients) or fabric softener at the house. Essential oil diffusers are toxic to cats.

LOCATION
Halfway between Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, near the coast.
Driving distance to great beaches, Santa Barbara, wine country, and more.
Very relaxing environment here and slightly lower gas prices than the surrounding area.
Rocket launches from SpaceX happen here so you may be able to witness some.
Very close to Walmart and other shops/restaurants.

OTHER TASKS
Plant care is very minimal.
You'll take out the trash bins for trash day and bring them back in.

If you need to arrive the evening before my departure, so that you can get acquainted with everything, and you do not want to book a hotel, it's possible to stay in the master suite. The suite will be separated from my home for that night, so we will not share the home. The room has a fridge and microwave if needed.
