Upcountry - Greenville

Our home is comfortable and cheerful in a semi rural area, with horses across the street, yet is 5 minutes from downtown Travelers Rest, about 20 minutes from downtown Greenville and an hour from Asheville, NC. Our neighbors are very friendly. This area is extremely popular for all types of outdoor sports. Mountains, hiking, waterfalls, bike trails, plus great restaurants, breweries and live music. The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a Rails to Trails that begins in Travelers Rest and is 22 miles long. A popular vacation area, as well as a desirable location for transplants. Let us know your interests and we will be happy to point you in the right direction during your stay.

Lucy is a sweet, low maintenance small Feist. She loves laps and walks. She doesn't do dog parks, she's more of a "people person'. We have a fenced yard for her to go to when needed, but she loves the opportunity to go for walks, whether the short walk to the church cemetery on the corner or longer walks in the woods. There are also 3 very entertaining hens that are more like pets, Dusty, Cinnamon and Big Sister. They need to be fed and watered, let out in the morning and locked in when they go to bed at night. Not to mention the fresh eggs they till provide for your breakfast. They are really low maintenance. And Bun-bun is our yard rabbit who showed up one day and now has become a family member.

We have a couple of trips planned soon and would like to connect with someone who would enjoy our area while taking care of all of our 'girls'.

Scott and Susan are a lovely couple and easy going, generous hosts. They invited us to dinner at the beginning of our stay and took time to walk us through the ins and outs of looking after their house and pets. Communication between us remained excellent throughout and knowing that Steve's a musician they kindly put us in touch with friends who invited us to a couple of cool events in Greenville. Was very glad to have sit at this house. It's a nice clean house. The back yard is very pretty and is fenced in. The fresh eggs from the 4-chickens are super good. Enjoyed sitting on the screened back-porch and seeing many different birds. Lucy (their dog) is friendly and likes lots of petting. Thank you Scott and Susan, and enjoyed our conversations.

Scott and Susan's house was our first house sit, and we could not have asked for a better one! It was super clean and peaceful. Their dog Lucy was very sweet and easy to handle. They also have chickens which was fun! A very nice couple and home.
