Looking for super responsible, mature, cat lover(s) with excellent references from February 5, 2026 to March 26, 2026, with some flexibility in dates. I have three low-maintenance indoor cats (bonded orange tabby brothers and a 7-month old kitten) who need company and care. They're fed twice or three times a day, litter boxes cleaned once daily. They also like some playtime with toys or to be brushed, a total of 5 minutes. No special needs or meds. No outdoor lawn care, no indoor plants. This is an easy gig! I live in a spacious 3-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath townhouse in a quiet neighborhood in Chapel Hill, N.C. Two blocks away there's a paved walking trail through the woods that will take you to Trader Joe's, Starbucks, and other shops and restaurants. Free town-wide bus service, bus stop one block from here, but having a car would be preferable as it will enable you to explore more of the surrounding area. Excellent WiFi, TV with a loaded Firestick. W/D, central heat/air, dishwasher, microwave, well-stocked kitchen, small patio area. Master bedroom has a queen, guest bedroom has a king bed. Third bedroom has office space for your use. You have full use of the house except for my studio space. Landlady requires recent background check. Need to emphasize this: looking for a person or a couple who love cats and are not just looking for a free place to live for 7 or so weeks.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our time at Laura's house with the Freds (kitties). They had such distinct personalities, and we had wonderful cuddle time with each in their own particular styles. It was very easy to feed, water, and scoop. They never tried to sneak out of the house. Laura's home is comfortable and has a plush adjustable bed, plus she's an amazing artist, so it was a pleasure to see her artwork and studio. A lovely stay overall!

This was pretty much the perfect house-sit for me. Laura is friendly and kind, and has a very calming presence. It was nice to spend some time with her. The kitties are sweet and cuddly and easy to care for. I loved waking up with them! Laura's home is beautiful and in a convenient area. It was so easy to work with Laura. She was flexible on travel dates to make sure I could be available and greeted me when I arrived to show me the ropes, which I appreciated. She left detailed written instructions as a reference. We also communicated during my stay and she was always ready to answer any questions. Laura's cats were lovely- it was fun to see them get along so well with each other!
