STILL SEEKING as of 11/13/21. :)
hi, we're in south delridge (close to west seattle) in a quiet, family apartment community that is flanked by protected greenbelt. i don't have a vehicle, but there is a rapid ride king county metro bus a block away that goes to downtown seattle, including the waterfront, and as far south as burien transit center. we're a vegetarian household, and my spiritual preferences are that meat/poultry/seafood are not kept or eaten here. thank you for your kind understanding.
...for 1 dog & 2 cats in south delridge:
starts: fri, dec 20, 2024 at 10am
ends: fri, dec 27, 2024 at 2pm
we're looking for a non smoker to provide
play & exercise
walking
grooming
waste cleanup
feeding
medicine administration
we'll be leaving in your care one neutered 5yo english bulldog mix, a 6-month-old spayed kitten, and a 10yo spayed cat.
access to the building is highly secured, so you'll be left with an acam (access) card, but it is dire that this is not lost, because the only folks granted entry in event of a lost key are those on the lease, with i.d..
all of the pets are on dry kibble, free feed. the cats are indoor only.
**gordo** (dog) is a rescue - we've had him just over a year. he talks a Lot via snorts, rumbles, groans, huffs, and so forth. he's great w kids and ok with cats, (Especially 'his' kitten), but is not to be trusted around other dogs. hold tight to his leash, as he might lunge when least expected. he's extremely stubborn. sometimes he won't even walk. he likes to stay within the perimeter of the apartment complex, lest he be expected to traverse any actual distance. he has skin and ear problems, and needs his wrinkles and tail pocket wiped w medicated wipes, followed by cotton pads (to dry), 1-2x/day, and he gets benadryl tablets in peanut butter 2x/day. he's on a specific diet due to food allergies. he's very emotionally sensitive. he loves to chew his indestructible carrot, snore loudly, and cuddle with 'his' kitten. (the two are partners in crime- watch out for those rascals) he gets the zoomies almost every night before bed. he's an emotional support animal, who needs emotional support. he's a big, high maintenance Baby. *thankfully, altho he's a sloppy eater and constantly messing up his water bowl with 'foam' and debris, he doesn't drool!
**daisy** (cat), our senior resident, would prefer to be an only child. she's very Fancy and not above showing a bulldog who runs the house. she's floofy and superior and likes sunbathing on her cat tower, and surveying her expansive view from her window. she likes to be told how pretty she is, and complemented for her good sense. she has her own room. (sort of.) when she's in the right mood, she can be quite playful- she's fantastic at catching toys in midair. -quite the swipe. ...she is slowly adapting to our latest addition,
**tiny tiger** (aka tiny, or tiny terror), has No sense and No boundaries. she plays Hard and tries all the time to hunt through the windows. she looooooooves gordo, and terrorizes daisy. when she's tired, she loves to be held while she sleeps. she's very needy of affection, but is afraid of strangers.
gordo goes out 4x/day.
upon wake up, b/t 6-8,
in the early afternoon, b/t 11-2,
in the late afternoon, b/t 4-6,
and at bedtime, b/t 8-10.
his walks are brief, and slow & mellow. they range from mere steps outside the door to pee and going right back in, to at most going around the block to poop. usually he only goes as far as the upper landscaping of the complex, though, even to poop, a 5-10 minute task.
if he pees only, he gets a small, bone shaped biscuit.
if he poops, he gets a peanut butter man (buddy biscuit).
benadryl is given in the morning, and either late afternoon or night. *2 tablets hidden in a generous teaspoon of peanut butter*
'wrinkle maintenance' and ears in the morning, then one other time, usually late afternoon.
the main water bowl in the kitchen needs to be rinsed and refilled at least every visit, if not twice every visit, please, to keep it clean of debris and slobber. the cats rely on this as their primary water source, too, and all three know when the water is not clean, and will sit close by and wait.
there are also food and water bowls for the kitties in each of the two bedrooms. tiny's kitten food is in ezra's room, and daisy's old lady food is in 'her' room. they do eat from each others food and use each others cat boxes interchangeably, though. -there are two cat boxes, one in each bedroom. they get scooped about every other day, then trash bags tied off and immediately taken out.
i think that's all.
no special upkeep necessary for the household, really. we do recycle and compost, so appreciate if you could maintain that. the building is brand new, construction completed in march, 2023. there is plenty of free street parking and the neighborhood is reasonably good/safe. i am just concerned about my fur babies. looking for someone quiet and safe to ensure their well-being, and otherwise enjoy the space/proximity/easy access to downtown! we have wifi available, but no TV subscriptions or anything. 🙏
