Angela

Dates are totally flexible- what works for you?

We have house sit and know there is noWe have house sit and know there is no way to make a perfect House Sit request- feel free to ask any questions, make requests or for more description.

Split level , semi-rural home with firepit, not fenced but solid privacy with 3.5 sides edged with trees on 1.4 acres.

Have fun while you are here. Cat is on auto feeder so she just needs wayer filled whwn needed and to be let outside whenever you want and brought in before it gets dark. Usually no litter scooped she goes outside though she has a box she doesn't use it often. We just look at it once a week. Hens probably won't be laying eggs but there is a possibility so please check coop every few days for eggs, water and food filled every 5 days.

We have one indoor outdoor cat that is friendly but independent. May want to be pet but also may not want any attention- she doesn't need any feeding or litter scooping. She is self-sufficient but does like to go outside and needs to be called in at "bedtime".
2 dogs that need very little attention but will appreciate more if you want to hang with them. And 5 hens that are not laying eggs during this cooler season, you are not expected to feed/water the hens- but may throw scratch to them at evening if it will get below 35 degrees at night.

1. Let dogs go potty 5 mins is usually fine more if you are chiling and want to be out there longer. (We don't have a fence so they do need supervision but they don't run off.) Cat may go out anytime during the day.

2. Feed dogs in the morning~ typically by 8am but honestly whenever works for you they are happy sleeping in.

3. Toss chickens scratch (food) if temp is planned to be under 35 that night, anytime before 445pm, or not if you forget. Not a huge deal.

4. Feed dogs dinner usually around 6pm but anytime is fine.

5. Let dogs go potty for the night. Call the cat in at night on back patio.

6. Make yourself cozy, use fire pit, eat whatever you want, etc. If you need anything be sure to give me a call/text.

8. Morning and night time routines are super flexible so if you want to sleep in or you want to be away from the home at night that's totally understandable but please be sure to feed the dogs, let the dogs out for at least enough time for them to potty morning and night,

They would like more time outdoors but for a couple days they are 100% fine as long as they have food/water/go potty morning and night.
Let kitty in and out during the day and be sure she is inside for the evening.

Must have own vehicle if planning on leaving the house during house sit and carport can cover vehicle up to 9ft. Plenty of uncovered parking if in a RV. Happy to discuss pickup/drop off from Asheville or Charlotte airports.

Dates are flexible to extend if needed on start/end.

Accommodations are open to finished but bare downstairs with Queen blowup mattress, living room couch pull out full size futon, living room queen blow up mattress or main bedroom with full mattress.

Pets welcome on case by case basis.
No children under 13 years old.

James Lake 10 minutes away with a beautiful boat launch, views, fishing, hikes, Mt. biking, skiing in the Winter. The towns slogan is Nature's Playground and there is so much to do and see in the area.

Downtown is 17 minutes the other direction with plenty to do and see. Our favorites are nearly daily and usually free music, small brewery, pizza (stocks vegan cheese).

Walmart, grocery stores, CVS, gas stations all within 15 min drive that is also toward town. Very convenient. way to make a perfect House Sit request- feel free to ask any questions, make requests or for more description.

Angela's home was cozy. Her pets were all too cute. Had fun with the dogs, cat and hens. Communication and response time was great. I definitely had a great experience here.

ROSALVA (Jul 2023 - 4 days)
Taking care of Angela's home and fur babies was my pleasure! The house and location are as wonderful as the pups, so four days wasn't long enough. LOL I sincerely hope that I will be available to sit for Angela and Annelise again. They are easy-going, comfortable, and interesting. Their pets, including the chickens, are fun and easy to love and care for. This is a great, low-pressure sit. Thank you, ladies, for allowing me to take care of your home and pets! I look forward to building this ... MORE

LEEANN (Jan 2024 - 4 nights)
This was a very enjoyable "job". The area is very peaceful, mountain sunrise is stunning and the nearby town, charming. On top of all that, A&A were so welcoming, open to accommodating a flexible schedule and just overall sweet people. Mooney, the cat, is a little cuddle bug and followed me around inside and out! Also, I had fun getting to see the personalities of the chickens!!! I had no idea they could be such characters. I would certainly enjoy house-sitting or just visiting again.

KIMBERLEE (Dec 2023 - 1 week 2 nights)
I enjoyed sitting for Angela and Annalise. They were very gracious and laid-back about the whole process and made me feel welcome. The house was pleasant and in a great location for enjoying the mountains. Their cat was a real sweetheart!
