Located 15 minutes away from Salida, CO along a scenic canyon drive. We invite you to come enjoy some peace and quiet in the mountains 1 mile away from the Arkansas River. The house sits on a couple of acres but is surrounded by BLM land. We'd love for whoever wants to house sit for us to stay at the house and enjoy what we love about this place so much, the sunshine & the view. We have a small flock of chickens and two very friendly geese, Dolly & Penny. The birds enjoy free-ranging all day and provide plenty of entertainment. We also have two sweet dogs and an independent cat. There is a short trail we've built around the property for dog walks and enough peace and quiet to make you feel like you're on vacation. We want someone who wants to be here, love on our animals, give treats to the birds, fill the goose pool when necessary and mostly hang out and enjoy our slice of paradise! You'll enjoy our guest room on the main floor. The kitchen is fully equipped for all of your culinary aspirations. ***We've realized our kitty doesn't enjoy sharing the house with new dogs while we are out of town, so unfortunately, the right house-sitter comes without furry friends.***
