We live in a log home on 33 acres about 10 miles from a small town that has groceries, retail and restaurants. There is very little in the way of plants outside to care for. We have one neighbor on our street, otherwise it is very secluded.
Our Westie is a little anxious. We hate to board him. He is skiddish around people but is loving once he gets to know you. He is pretty spoiled. He is kept in the vicinity by an electric fence and he has a doggie door so you have some freedom for a day away.
We have a large, 2 bedroom house (2400sq’) with a good kitchen for cooking. The second bedroom and bath are upstairs. There is a large walk-in shower, but no inside bath tub. There is a hot tub on the back patio. There is cooking/grilling on the back deck.
The house was in a quiet peaceful country setting with a large deck, comfortable chairs and a beautiful view. We enjoyed watching the cattle, the deer and turkeys as well as the hummingbirds. The little dog, Wallace, was a delight. We would recommend this sit.
House and pet sitting for Larry and Janet in Kentucky was a wonderful experience!
Their home is in a very private, peaceful, quiet location, yet still just a short drive to local shops and restaurants.
I looked after Wallace - a well-behaved, small sized dog, who’s a dream to care for. During the day, he takes himself outside when needed, and he snuggled with me every night. He’s smart, expressive, and has a really sweet temperament.
