Larry and I are a New Zealand semi-retired professional couple (non-smokers), who have enjoyed sailing around the world. We have twice sailed from the Mediterranean to New Zealand 2016-2018, and 2021-2023.
We now want to visit family and do some land travel in the USA.
Before we left NZ in 2016 , we puppy walked for the Royal NZ Guide Dog Services for over 12 years, and successfully graduated 9 puppies that went onto become working guide dogs.
Prior to embarking on our current journey, we lived for 10 years on a 12 acre lifestyle block on the coast of Whangarei. We have raised many farm animals, including Indian runner ducks, chickens, sheep and steers. For several years we had a couple of horses that we rode. We have also had tropical fish, cats and birds (including looking after my mother's cockatoo when she went on holiday).
We have extensive house sitting experience - 7 house sits in New Zealand from October 2019 - January 2020. Covid brought us back to NZ which during 2020/2021 we did several re-sits and 3-4 new house sits.
Whilst we were in Europe for Christmas 2021, we decided we wanted a white Christmas, and found a month house sit in Belgrade Serbia from 13 Dec - 13 Jan. We also did several housesits for the same couple in Cyprus where we bought our 2nd boat and were based for the winter of 2021.
All of our house sits have rated us 5/5. Copies of reviews and references are available. Many of our house sits we now consider our friends, and keep in touch with them.
We will love and care for your pets and home as if they were our own.
Lee and Larry were absolutely fabulous at caring for our beautiful fur babies and our home. We arrived home (they dropped and picked us up from the airport ) to an incredibly clean house and two happy little pets. I knew when we left we would have no worries while we were away and I was right. Thank you both for making our little break easy!!! Would highly recommend
These two lovely people are truly amazing! Down to earth, honest and reliable. They looked after our home and pets for nearly 2 weeks. We received messages before and during their stay keeping us up to date at all times. Upon returning home, it was lovely and clean and tidy. Couldn’t recommend them enough.
I have to many positive words for lees stay at our home but let’s go with she was absolutely amazing!
She looked after our pets with so much love, looked after our home as if it were her own and communication/ the things she did for us while we were away were so kind and thoughtful I’ll forever be grateful
Larry didn’t stay this trip but I’m sure he would have been just the same.

Lee was the best house sitter one could wish for. My 2 dogs Max and Chloe were taken for lots of walks and spoiled. The house and garden were left spotless and well maintained. Thank you very much Lee. You will always be welcome in my house.
Faultless!! When we need another holiday, these will be our go-to guys.. It's a great feeling to know that all will be well while you are away and that you can focus on really relaxing without being concerned about what is happening back at home. We wish Lee and Larry all the best.
We met Liz and Larry after they had answered our ad for a sitter while we visited the South Island. After a brief meeting we were confident that they would be more than capable of doing the job. Now that we have returned we are pleased to report that that confidence was well founded.
The house has been well looked after and left in an extremely clean and tidy state. The lawns and garden have survived the drought and our decrepit watering system has been resurrected to be in working order ... MORE
It's always a little bit daunting leaving your home and pets in the hands of people you have not met ..... but Lee and Larry have been more than amazing !!!!..... Our little dogs have been beautifully cared for .... our house is immaculate... probably tidier than we left !!! ....And awesome communication .... Thank you so much for allowing us an amazing two weeks away ...... I would highly recommend these lovely people !!
Lee and Larry looked after our 5yo dog Murphy for 2 weeks which included administering medication every couple of days. We returned from our holiday to a spotless house, a beautiful cheese platter and a healthy, happy, beaming dog. Would have no hesitation using them again in the future. Thanks guys!
Lee and Larry are the perfect house sitters and we recommend them highly. They love dogs and took great care of our two boxers (Roxy 9 and Cassie 15) while we were away. It was obvious they looked really enjoyed the dogs by the way they interacted with them. Lee and Larry communicated by messaging while we were away and our house spotless.
Lee and Larry looked after our beagle Milly for two weeks in oct 2019.
Milly is a very happy dog on our return and is relaxed and very healthy looking. She has special food requirements and is a timmid dog so it is a credit to lee and larry that Milly is so happy.
