I grew up on a farm of horses, pigs, and goats.
41, Chaplain
Staff Chaplain specializing in behavioral health rehabilitation working at the VA hospital. I had a Cocker Spaniel for many years after becoming a failed foster (see attached picture of my Mitzy. ;) Thus, I successfully fostered until adopting. She passed from old age so I now am open to care for others’ animals. I was raised on a farm that had horses, goats, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats.
I’ve ‘made it’ in my career by most chaplains’ standards and have passed probationary year as a government worker, yet want further training in behavioral health therapies and statistical research skills. So, I’m reducing my work to part-time for such academics.
I’m a non-smoker, light social drinker, as a rule don’t bring others into somebody’s home, and can provide character/caregiving references. In April of 2023 I passed a T3 National Security Background Clearance as my current job has been at a Navy Hospital/Base.
I have a partner [Navy Veteran, former Corpsman, whose job requires an active Secret Security Clearance], yet we are navigating adult children living in his Chicagoland home; he works a full-time job there to hold down that fort. [See attached picture]
My mother lives in the Seattle area and comes visit me on occasional adventures, when able/appropriate. She is a retired school teacher and thus has been an upstanding citizen in many communities. She was faithful to teach me right from wrong and has not lost such scruples.
Thanks for your consideration to care for your home and/or pets!
