63, Work full time remote

EDIT: I am newly retired..
Well, not anymore. It didn't stick. So I am back at work full time, but I work remotely. I'm still looking to explore areas where I might want to move to. I've downsized my home and am available for short notice sitting opportunities.

I have been a co-owner/business manager for a doggie daycare, pet sitting, and boarding kennel with my daughter for the last 6 years. We often take pets in our home or go to people's homes to pet sit.

In addition to a plethora of dogs and cats, my daughter has had exotic pets living with us since she was a small child. She is living on her own now, and I miss having them around. I have become quite fond of pet rats, snakes, lizards, etc., so if you have any of those pets, I'd be happy to sit for you as well.

In helping my daughter with her business, I have taken several courses in animal care and behavior.

Since I sit alone and work full-time (remotely), I am unable to take sits that require dog walks multiple times a day. I'm happy to walk your pup but it needs to be for fun, not because it's the only option for them to go potty. Thank you for understanding.

Melanie did a great job looking after our dog Louie and our home. When we returned to our home, everything was in order, the house tidy and organized and most importantly, Louie was looking happy and healthy. Melanie was able to handle an unexpected issue (tankless water heater stopped working) and she executed my instructions to get the plumber to do the repair quickly and also try to trouble shoot the issue as much as possible prior to the repair. Melanie was a great pet and house sitter. The cat and older dog attached to her very quickly . We were very comfortable with Melanie in our home and loved her honest and friendly manner.
