Hi, we're Sydney and Matt, a responsible and experienced house-sitting couple in our early thirties from Washington, DC. We're open to house-sitting opportunities across the USA, generally looking for stays of one month or longer. That said, we're also willing to house-sit shorter durations if your home is particularly special or located in an interesting area. We are both remote workers so all we need is a strong internet connection and a surface to work on.

Both of us bring unique qualifications to the table. With over five years' experience as a nanny and pet-sitter, Sydney has a keen sense for animals and their well-being. Matt, with a pronounced green thumb, is passionate about plants. In past house-sitting roles, homeowners have been amazed at how well their plants thrived under Matt's care. He takes a meticulous approach by photographing plants upon arrival to monitor their health throughout the stay and is adept at understanding their specific needs.

We deeply love animals and would have our own pets if not for our travels, so pet-sitting allows us to fill that void. We form bonds with every pet we look after, and with our experience spanning various ages and species, we can quickly discern if something isn't right.

It's not just about pets and plants though. We're also adept at managing the unique challenges of homeownership. Should any issues arise, we'll stay in constant communication with you to guide our actions. While we're highly capable of resolving minor problems ourselves, we also know when it's time to consult professionals—and will do so under your guidance. Additionally, as neat and tidy individuals, we commit to leaving your home even cleaner than we found it.

From past house sitting experiences, we've learned that each homeowner's communication needs are unique, and we're committed to adapting our approach accordingly. If you're enjoying a vacation and wish to be undisturbed, rest assured we'll only reach out for essential questions or unexpected issues.
