Linda & I are a retired couple searching for the perfect place to live. I am a retired housing general contractor and Linda is a retired Registered Nurse. We have house sat several locations in the U.S. Europe, South America and Africa, California, Arizona, Maryland, Pennsylvania,Massachusetts,Mexico, Puerto Rico,Washington, Canada,numerous international sits and Idaho. We have cared for homes and pets and have had a wonderful time and developed many great relationships. We are extremely flexible and responsible. We would prefer longer sitting situations so we can get a good feeling for the communities we are in. We would love to explore the possibilities of caring for your home & your pets.

We met Doug and Linda a day before we left, but had been in contact for the previous few months. Somewhat hesitant as first time uses of this site. Could not have been more impressed! Their concern with the well being of our pet and making sure they were aware of any house issues. They did an outstanding job and I felt confident while gone that they take care of everything which they did. Would highly recommend them for your housesit.

Doug and Linda have been house sitting for us just outside of Annapolis Maryland since September 12, 2015. I'll start this endorsement by saying that they are two of the best people I have met in my life (of 74 years) and that opinion is confirmed by my entire family. My two sons live near our Annapolis house, and one son, John, visits there regularly. He has told me that the place is looking better than ever before. My two sons live near our Annapolis house, and one son, John, visits there regularly. He has told me that the place is looking better than ever before. Doug does not just sit around - he is a real worker, and he knows what he is doing. We had him refinish our decks, and paint inside for us. He and Linda cleaned up our brick patio. Doug fixed a large compressor for me - no easy task. He put our entire 38x40' garage/workshop in order, which I had been unable to do because of very serious back problems. He fixed our lawn tractors. I have a large Deutz diesel tractor with a 2700 pound skip loader. He used that to plow snow off our driveway, and he plowed our neighbors' driveways, which I usually do if I winter there. He took good care of our chickens, and repaired various parts of the chicken house and barn. We had septic problems - the septic tank needed pumping, and the main septic pump had an electrical problem that needed fixing. Doug worked with us and contractors to resolve the problems, and I felt extremely safe in the knowledge that every step he took was the best and most economical that could be taken. Our one-acre landscaping is well in hand, and this includes leaf removal which would daunt quite a few people. We left 3 of our 6 cats at that house, and he and Linda have taken good care of them, way beyond the call of duty. Our cat Louie had serious health problems, and they resolved those in consultation with us, local vets, and Linda's brother, who is an experienced vet in Idaho. We left our house with a worn out mattress on the bed where we intended them to sleep, (where we sleep when we are home) and they aided us in selecting an economical and excellent replacement.This list of the achievements they have accomplished while they were living in our house is by no means all-inclusive. Every problem that has come up with the house or with any of its accoutrements was well-handled and I have never felt more secure in that knowledge. In summary, I would recommend Doug and Linda without reservation, and they are definitely a five-star operation! They are welcome back at our house any time!

Doug and Linda house-sat for me in June of 2015 for 10 days. We had an elderly dog at the time who needed a little bit of extra care, and Doug and Linda did a wonderful job of that while we were gone. They took great care of our house, the property (lawn and garden!), the house plants, and the pets. When we arrived home, they were there to greet us and let us know how well everything went. I cannot say enough about how wonderful these two were to house sit for my house during this time. I wished they would never leave! They are super clean/neat & responsible and as industrious as you could ever imagine. They can't help but leave a place much better than they found it. Additionally, they are kind, compassionate people who took incredibly good care of my cats as well as every other cat in the neighborhood.
