68, Education, retired
I am recently retired, and doing some study part time via Skype. I am a former ESL community college instructor. I love to travel, and I am also a homebody who loves animals, so pet/housesitting is perfect for me.
For this summer, 2022, I am only available to petsit in New England, and possible the Chicago area.
I am a lifelong animal lover. I've completed certification in Pet Safety, First Aid and CPR. I have had pets all my life, and volunteered for several years in animal rescue in Mexico and no-kill shelters in the U.S. I have also done foster care. As a result, I am familiar with a range of pet personalities - including the very shy babies and elderly pets. I am patient and gentle with every creature, and love to play with the youngsters.
I am a conscientious sitter- you can count on my caring for your furry children and home as I do my own. I also enjoy taking care of indoor plants.
I always take time to work out details with pet owners before the trip and stay in touch regularly while they travel. Clear communication is important to me. I also enjoy taking photos of pets, and will send them via email or text so that you can rest assured that they are well and happy.
I am happy to provide references by pet/home owners who have experienced my housesitting, and my volunteer work with animals.
