I am an independent editor who works remotely, which means I'll be home all day most days and will be able to care for your pets and keep your home secure. I am fastidious and tidy; you'll return to find your home in the same condition as you left it.
I have more than a dozen years of experience as a house-sitter; I've cared for cats (my favorite!), dogs, birds, fish, chickens, horses, vegetable and ornamental gardens, and house plants all across the States and in Europe.
For 2025, I'm available for house-sits that are within a day's drive. I'm unfortunately not available to travel out of state at this time (other than to Oregon). [In 2026, I'll be open to travel again to some of my favorite places, such as Minneapolis, Chicago, Colorado, and New Mexico, as well as new places. For out-of-state sits, I'm interested in longer stays (2 weeks minimum).]

My highest possible recommendation for Erin! I had a wonderful 6-weeks trip that I was able to enjoy fully because I knew that my kitty was being well cared for. I have one senior kitty and just couldn't leave him alone with only brief visits from a local pet sitter. I was so happy that Erin was able to come and stay with him.

Erin was a great house and cat sitter while I was gone for 4 weeks. She took great care of my cat and sent texts and pictures often. When I got home my cat was happy and I could tell he was well cared for. Erin also took great care of my house while I was away and the house looked as good when I came home as it did when I left. I would have Erin back any time and would be happy to be a reference for her.
Erin was a superb housesitter for us while we were on vacation, also caring for our rambunctious 11 month old Weimaraner. She was clean, quiet, responsible and responsive, leaving the house cleaner than we had left it. She usually works from home, so is around a great deal of the time, an extra bonus! I could not recommend her more!!
