Even though we do not charge, many homeowners have been nice enough to leave us something to help with travel, etc., but it is not required, albeit appreciated.
We do expect the homeowners to leave money for incidentals, like pet treats, etc. The best way to do that is with a prepaid credit card and have the sitters turn in the receipts and the card at the end of the sit.
Georgie was raised on a farm. Ted was raised in a small Texas town and worked on cattle ranches and rice farms growing up. We have also house-sat many farms and looked after horses, cattle, alpacas, chickens, etc.

We are very healthy retirees doing full-time house-sitting with 98+ house-sits over the past 8-1/2 yrs. around the world. We work through several house-sitting websites.
We met in Australia and were married on Georgie's parent's sheep farm in New Zealand in Dec.1969. We lived in Darwin, Australia for a year before moving back to Ted's home in Texas where Ted worked for a commercial kitchen designer & stainless steel fabricator.
Ted also ran a branch office for a commercial/industrial sales rep. company covering the northern half of Wisconsin & the Michigan Upper Peninsula for the next 30 years before retiring. Ted is also a US Navy veteran. We are non-smokers.
We also pastored a small, non-denominational Christian church until stepping down to travel.
We have 3 sons and 9 grandkids.
We get most of our house sits from other websites so we have a personal website that gives a lot more information on us like an expanded bio, family pictures, house-sit pictures & videos, more references YOU CAN ACTUALLY CONTACT, our travel/house sit schedule & maps, background checks, etc.
Please contact us for a link to our website.
