Hi, I'm Claire, a British writer/actress/filmmaker living in Chicago. I have been in IL for 19 years, [current green card & passport]. I love to travel, & often feel creatively inspired by my surroundings. I have written & published two poetry books whilst house sitting. I also love animals & have a medium sized rescue dog, ten year old German Sheppard/Australian Cattle dog mix, very well behaved.

My partner, Christopher, is also a filmmaker & loves to travel with his camera, shooting footage wherever we go. He also used to maintain interior tropical plants for commercial properties.

We have a car, no kids. We love to travel with our dog, for short sits, if we cannot take her along, we have someone who is willing to care for her in our absence.

We have owned homes & pets, [dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, reptiles] & are looking forward to some great adventures.

We have completed two sits, 6 months off grid in New Mexico, & ten days in a town duplex in Salem, MA, [with two cats]. Chris has filmed a movie in each location.

I have also completed solo sits in IL for the same home owner frequently over the past several years, & other local sits with cats & dogs.

Claire took excellent care of Miss Patty and my home! She was even kind enough to wash the sheets and towels she used during her stay. Would recommend!

Claire is a wonderful house sitter! We unfortunately had to cancel her house sit for this weekend. My husband was ill and we couldn’t make the Labor Day camping trip. Claire was very understanding and gracious. Our dog, Guinness, loves Claire. We look forward to having Claire house sit in the future.

This is the second time Claire has taken care of our home and pet. She is wonderful! She took great care of our home, garden, lawn, and doggy for 3 1/2 weeks. She is very trustworthy, kind, and clean. Our home was immaculate when we returned. She is also great with our 60 lb doodle, Guinness. He loves her! We know our boy is in good hands with Claire. It’s great to have that peace of mind. We highly recommend Claire to those seeking a respectful and responsible house/pet sitter.

Claire was fantastic! She took great care of our home and 60 lb goldendoodle. Claire communicated well and left our home immaculate. Claire gave us peace of mind while on vacation. We would welcome Claire to house/pet sit again.

No rating I am endoring Claire as a great house sitter. She did an excellent job of taking care of my 2 cats. She also watered my plants and my home was clean and in good condition when I returned. I recommend her as a very good house/pet sitter.
