Tuscon & Southern - Pima
Roderick
Enjoy sunny Tucson, AZ during the nicest time of the year in the company of two cuddly dogs!
I need to be away for a few weeks in the next month or so for a medical treatment, but I have two big Great Pyrenees puppies who I rescued last year who will need a lot of love while I'm gone and I'm hoping to find them a friend to keep them company!
My home is a 2 bedroom / 1 bathroom in a great neighborhood in Tucson, AZ - walkable to lots of restaurants!
Some features of the house:
- Large fenced yard with a fire pit and covered porch
- Comfortable king sized bed
- Second bedroom set up as office/music studio
- 50" Roku TV
- Combo washer/dryer - sufficient for small loads
- Large modern shower
- 2019 Kia Sportage available for use if in need of transportation
About the dogs:
Hunter and Artemis are a brother and sister pair of Great Pyrenees who are somewhere between 1.5-2 years old. They wandered into my yard last year suffering from Parvo so I nursed them back to health and they've been my constant companions ever since. They're big gentle cuddle bugs, and I do mean BIG - they're both over 100 pounds. During their puppy days, they did some cosmetic damage to the walls and baseboards that is a bit of an eyesore, and they still have some puppy habits that come out occasionally, so I try to keep things that I wouldn't want chewed out of their reach just in case! They love walks, but they can be a lot to handle due to their size and energy, so it would be fine to just let them chase and play around the yard. They need fed twice a day and poop scooped in the yard. They get pretty dirty in the yard and can track quite a bit into the house, and they shed quite a bit with their long hair, so the main areas of the house typically need swept and dusted every day or two to keep on top of the dust.
I have a small cactus garden that would need some minimal watering.
Dates are approximate - I can schedule my medical treatment around the right sitter's availability. I'd also be interested in anyone who has the flexibility to extend their sit by a few weeks should the treatment take a little longer than planned - I would know whether that's a possibility once a couple weeks into the treatment.
