Retired, active. senior couple with family in Encinitas, CA, Boise, Idaho, and Reading, PA. We traveled the US intermittently for 17 years in a small motor home and miss the opportunity to get out and about since selling our Chinook. We see House Sitters as a great way to continue our adventures.

Since I was a small child, there have always been dogs in our family. As our children grew, we had Krimpet, the beloved family dog, Thumper, the rabbit, hamsters, a parakeet, and Hairy Harry, the long-haired guinea. Our daughter allowed us to care for her cat while she was overseas. We did a house sit for a family friend in CA a few years back who had an Australian Shepherd and enjoyed the experience. 5 years ago while our daughter's family went to Wales for Christmas, we house sat for their 2 cats, 2 turtles, 2 Betas, and a goldfish. All survived the experience safe and sound.

We joined House Sitters in 2016 and usually have sat for 1-2 month periods. On our first assignment we cared for 3 cats and a Golden Doodle, then Axel, the cat in Longmont. Two assignments were houses only.

Joe and I have been married for 59 years. For the past 34 years, we have lived on Lake Cypress Springs in East Texas. It gets a bit hot in Texas come summertime, which mainly is when we want to escape from our beautiful lake setting.

In order to renew my TX Nursing license 8 years ago, Texas required fingerprinting with a background check by the FBI. We are both retired non-smoking, professionals, who will care for your pets and property as our own. We will be happy to provide homeowners with contact references to verify our honesty and integrity.
