I am coming off living in Belize most of the year from 2006-2017 where I was serving as a missionary. Prior to that I owned a house and worked in Houston for 16 years where I was an accountant for Marathon Oil Company and then switched to landscaping to accommodate my mission calling and am currently doing some part-time landscaping work in South Bend, Indiana where I am visiting and staying with family. For the most part I am semi-retired (63 years old single male) and am not tied down to any area so am looking forward to house sitting throughout the United States and getting to know different parts of the country. As a past homeowner, renter and businessman along with a long background in landscaping I feel I am qualified to take care of both your inside and outside the house needs. I do have some paid experience house sitting in Houston for a couple of months in 2008 where I took care of the house, landscaping, pool and two spoiled but loveable cocker spaniel dogs and the husband/wife can provide a reference for me if requested. In 2017, through the housesittersamerica web site, I did three different 10 day house sits for the same apartment in Michigan (kitten sitting too) along with a 4 month house sit in Connecticut (black lab sitting too), a 7 month house sit in 2018 taking care of 20 acres of land and their dogs in Vieques, Puerto Rico. From 2019-2024 have done the same house sit for 6-7 months from April -November in Riviera Beach, Florida on Singer Island and will be doing my 7th year there beginning in late April 2025 and ending mid November 2025 The last 6 years in Florida we did the housesit outside of this web site as we had already established a relationship. All 4 of these sittings have provided positive endorsements that are attached to my online profile. Any house sitting I do will just be me alone and have no problem house sitting for long periods of time.
