* We have many years' experience caring for houses: two homes where we reside plus being landlords with multiple houses that we have owned
* We are flexible enough to deal with any out-of-the-ordinary event to your satisfaction as well as take care of the day-to-day running of a household (hint: Jake is a real handy handy-man!)
* Have peace of mind by relying on us to take care of your pets (we have rescued and adopted cats for over 30 years, and we also volunteer to foster kittens and cats)
* You'll find that we could only treat your home as our own (in fact, when our house sitting with you has ended, you may find your property in even better shape than when you left it!)
* We would expect to do housekeeping, pet care, light gardening, etc. just as we do at our own home
* We offer you flexibility of dates since we are "location independent"
* We are both clean and tidy (without being obsessive)
* We are in excellent health
* You can count on us being mature, non-smokers without any drug habits
* You'll find us extremely trustworthy and dependable, and we keep promises
* We are computer savvy and are happy to keep you posted during your travels via email, text or FaceTime
* Keep connected with your pets, too, since we always have a camera with us and can photograph him/her/them
* We are not a high maintenance couple and don't require a lot of gadgets (your place with good internet access, a well-equipped kitchen, basic electronic entertainment and comfy beds would be welcome)
* We'd be happy to provide any other details you need, plus we have a readily-available list of 13+ personal references who are happy to talk with you and vouch for us

To us house sitting is a different way to meet new friends, both human and feline, and is a great way to help someone out...like you! We look forward to including you in our house sitting career.

Diana and Jake get high marks for not just managing the regular expectations well to take good care of our kitties and our home, but to manage some unexpected requests and occurrences with ease and a great attitude. We were able to enjoy a weekend away feeling comfortable and confident that all was ok at home. Jake and Diana were wonderful housesitters. They took very good care of my house and cat. They even did extra chores like sharpening knives and fixing a few things that broke during some strong wind storms. I would highly recommend them and am hoping to use them again.

It was so nice to have Diana and Jake return for this "Same Time Next Year" sit. Just like last year, we enjoyed spending time with them the night before we left sharing stories and lots of laughs. They, again, took such good care of our kitties and our home that it was a seamless transition when we returned from our trip while they enjoyed their time in and around Athens.. Diana and Jake were a joy to work with. We were exchanging emails weeks before the job started and got to know each other before ever meeting in person. They took EXCELLENT care of our home and our cat. I came home to a clean house, a well fed cat, and a lovely vase of flowers from our garden. I highly recommend them. Ten out of ten!

My husband and I couldn't be more pleased with the results of our first-time pet/housesit...Diana & Jake were a pleasure to meet and deal with. Our cat "Smudge" was so calm and content when we returned home, it was as if we hadn't been away from him for almost 2 weeks. We would recommend Diana & Jake as pet/housesitters without reservation.
