Green garden!
Make sure the garden & the potted plants are thriving when you return home. A house sitter will do this for you.
Rate can fluctuate up or down depending on travel costs. As long as I break even (or at least close) it’s enough. $40 is just what I charge locally so I figured it’s a good starting point.
27, Pet Caretaker
I’ve owned dogs and other smaller animals my entire life. I’ve been pet sitting locally since 2019 and not to toot my own horn but I am the highest rated sitter in the area with more repeat clients than anyone else. I signed up for this because I’m really wanting to travel more. I am happy to book anything at least a week in advance if I happen to be available but I’m usually pretty booked 3 months out. My entire life revolves around pets though. I currently have 2 dogs and a cat of my own. I don’t expect to ever bring the cat and I rarely expect to bring the dogs, but if I can bring one or both that would be great. I do more than just house sitting though, I also do drop-ins, walks, photography, training, and basic grooming in my day to day life. I’ve owned a Siberian Husky, 2 Golden Retrievers, a GSD, a GSD/APBT, and an ACD/Siberian Husky/BC mix, I’ve also helped raise a litter of 6 puppies, and I’ve cared for about 150 other dogs. I’ve owned 13 cats, most growing up were outdoor, but I have had a few indoor as well, and I’ve cared for about 100 others. I’ve also owned countless fish, a few amphibians, about a handful of rabbits, a hamster, and a gerbil. And I’ve taken care of a young boa constrictor, 3 leopard geckos, a turtle, 7 guinea pigs, a conure, many chickens, a potbelly pig, 3 gerbils, and other aquariums.
