Loving, Respectful Sitters

54, Teacher/Tutor

58, Healthcare Support

The idea of combining our love of travel and exploration of new places with our love of animals couldn't be a better fit for us. Our course, we're willing to housesit even if there are not pets to care for, but the idea of meeting lots of new furry friends would make it all the more enjoyable.

We absolutely adore all animals. Truth be told, if we had to choose between humans and animals, the scales would tip in their direction. I'm 54, hubby is 58. We have had pets our whole lives until very recently (when we lost our last boy Tito the day after Christmas.) As a kid, I had all 6 dogs sleep on my bed, and yes there was hardly room for me but I didn't care. Then for a decade, I helped my parents care for their farm animals (chickens, cows, and Mr. Bull), Besides our shared cats, hubby and I have always bonded with friends' and neighbors' pets, and meet new fur friends on vacation around the world. We always say "we've never met an animal we didn't like." And it's rare that one doesn't like us. We bond with animals even when the owners say "oh, my dog is weary, she won't come to you", then we have their head in our laps an hour later! In our former neighborhood, we TNR'd (trapped, neutered, released) dozens of cats and then fostered and rehab'd them until they were comfortable enough to be adopted out, So we understand to be patient with the skittish, anxious babies who need time to get acquainted. In addition, I have experience with giving shots, administering oral meds, cleaning out ears and eyes, clipping nails - for dogs and cats. We are comfortable around horses, cows and other farm animals, ducks, rabbits, etc., and can care for any animal that comes with instructions! We have experience controlling "energetic" dogs on leads,

We are fairly quiet people, preferring reading, or walking and biking, to entertaining and going out on the town. We love history and exploring local museums or local sites that are off the beaten path. And as homeowners our entire adult lives, and homeowners who've had our own housesitters before, we absolutely understand the great responsibility that comes with a sit. It's hard to drive away from your house, leaving it in the hands of strangers, so we do our best to put you at ease. We are great communicators, and email, call or text as much or as little as you prefer, sending pictures of your furbabies or of a growing garden to give you a sense of peace while you're away. As for cleanliness, it is our #1 priority to leave (and keep) your place tidy and clean. We both grew up (with what today seems a bit old-fashioned, sadly) with the idea that you return loaned objects in better condition than when they were loaned. So we leave your place sparkly clean and with everything returned to normal.

My husband and I are both veterans (me Army, he Air Force), have clean criminal/background checks (and can provide), and I have recently been fingerprinted by the State of Florida as part of my teaching certificate renewal. And of course, we can provide solid references.

We can communicate further on Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp, or calls or texts. We look forward to hearing from you!

Lindy was incredible. She was such a reliable and committed housesitter. Her communication was great, and she have our pups the best love ever. I could not recommend her more. You can't go wrong with Lindy.

Lindy & Chuck were great house/pet sitters. They are friendly, proactive, and responsible. We met via zoom to set up the house sitting & ended up talking for over an hour. It is so easy to talk to them. They asked all the right questions, and when a problem arose during their stay, reached out to try to figure it out. I am so happy I had them there to monitor/take care of my older house & my older cat. It seems that my cat bonded with them as well, which is really nice to hear. I would be ... MORE
