Matthew & Mahrou

Introduction:

My wife and I met each other during travel in Eastern Europe. After a couple of years being in a long distance relationship, and many travels later, we have now been married for over five years.

My passion is movement, and because of that I've been instructing yoga classes, both group and private sessions for almost six years. Mahrou is a photographer/graphic designer and has a deep passion for coffee. A few times each year we do our best to get out into nature to camp, hike, and 'reset'.

We both share our love of animals, we can now live vicariously through other pet owners like yourself.

Why Do You Want to House/Pet Sit?

When we began our house/pet sitting journey, we asked ourselves, why not start in our hometown of Chicago? We have always wanted to experience living in different areas of the city.

These opportunities will give us more of chance to grow in our relationship as we share in our enjoyment of animals, all the while capturing different perspectives of the city.

We have both grown up with dogs, a golden retriever and a German shepherd. Our first sit on was over two months caring for two cats. Since then, we have pet sat for a goldendoodle puppy, two rescue dogs (mixed breeds) one from Louisiana and one from Mexico, and Australian Shepherd, a basset hound and more! Mahrou has cared for chickens too!

Plant life is also important to us, as we have few of our own (baby rubber plant, spider plant, aloe plant and a Chinese money plant). We will provide the proper care for yours during our stay.
