Greetings!

Allow us to introduce ourselves, my name is Erica and my partner is Jolly Joe. We are currently located in California but are more than willing to travel.

In between dog walks/cat cuddles, Joe fills his days studying computer programming in order to pursue a career in the technology field and I work from home as an Independent Contractor for a virtual contact temp agency.

One word that comes to mind when asked why we want to house sit is exploration! We are adventures at heart. We love to travel - seeing and doing new things is what fulfills us. House-sitting gives us the ability to check out all kinds of different places (some we haven't even heard of before) and for longer amounts of time.

Joe and I are life partners, pursuing this journey together as a team. A favorite thing to do in our spare time is Geocaching! Besides the fact that it is a free activity, it takes us to new and interesting places that we probably would not discover on our own. We love opening up the Geocache App to see if there are any "treasures" to find nearby. We've geocached across the United States and were so stoked to find a cache while traveling in Switzerland earlier this year!

Our pet-sitting experience includes indoor/outdoor short hair and Maine Coon cats as well as medium-large size dogs (Brittany Spaniel, Labrador Retriever, Rottweiler, Tree Walking Coonhound, Doberman Pinscher mix and Greater Swiss Mountain breeds). In addition, we've loved and cared for previous furry family members of the following breeds: Golden Retriever, Chow Chow, Chihuahua and Samoyed.

We can't wait to meet you and your pets and form new (fur) friendships!

We couldn't have asked for better house sitters than Erica and Joe. They stayed at our house for a month and watched our three labs. When we arrived home our house was spotless and the dogs were so happy and obviously well taken care of. Erica knitted them all bandanas and dog bone necklaces as well as baked them some homemade dog biscuits. Anytime that we travel, if Joe and Erica are available, they would be our first choice for house sitters again!

Erica and Joe were great! Our dog Huck took to them immediately and we could tell it was mutual. They asked all the right questions before we departed and communicated with us throughout their stay. We came home to a happy dog and a very well taken care of house. We would absolutely recommend them and have them sit for us again if the opportunity were to arise!

We couldn't have asked for better housesitters. Not only did they do a great job with our dog Murphy they also kept the place very clean, neat and organized. We enjoyed meeting with them and spending some time together as well. They also have the best petsitting puns on HouseSittersAmerica!

As far as we are concerned we would give Erica and Joe 10 stars. Our biggest concern with being gone for 3 months was Elvis our 12 year old hound. After meeting Joe and Erica our concerns disappeared. They were so in tune with him even in the short time we had before we left. That care continued throughout the 3 months they were in our home with Elvis. They took wonderful care of our home as well. Wow. Erica and Joe are amazing! I was skeptical of this site at first and leaving my sweet puppy in the care of “strangers”. Erica and Joe were kind enough to come meet us before we made a choice and I’m so glad they did. I have quite a penchant for plants and I was gone for 3 weeks so knew they would need care. They were professional and responsive in every way possible, from our initial contact to our return home. Erica and Joseph are stellar house and pet sitters! They took exceptional care of my high-energy Dobi mix, Zuri - taking her each day on an off-leash walk at nearby trails and giving her a lot of love and attention. They updated me regularly with photos that made clear Zuri was having a wonderful time and perfectly content despite my absence. I came home to a happy Zuri and a super clean house. I highly recommend Erica and Joseph!

Erica and Joe were most excellent House Sitters. My dog (7 yr old Rottweiler) Rosie probably wanted to go home with them when I returned, they loved her so much. They gave her extraordinary care ,tended to my home and yard and are kind, and gentle people. I can't say enough good about them!
