I have loved travel since I was a boy. Over the last few years I have traveled all over the world. Since I have lived in Lower Michigan my entire life, I now wish to spend extended time during the winter in warm weather. I had watched over vacationing friends' houses since I was a teen. I have always related well and held their trust. For some reason I have always liked a change of venue. I have watched homes and pets many times. Since being employed full-time for years I have not had long stretches of time to work with. I actually spent a week in Ontario for a couple who had 4 cats. One needed to stay separate from the others and another was known to not be friendly. I "charmed" it. I have also done a WorkAway which I really enjoyed in Morocco. I received a glowing review, which I have attached.

I am helpful and will follow all instructions given. We are non-smokers and very light drinkers. I am a handyman and painter. Good with building and electrical work. My respectful care of property and my natural love for animals serve me well in providing trusted care. I have had an orange male cat about 40 years of my life. My memorable 15 and then 16 year olds, and then my recently passed 15 yr old (9 yrs with me). Animals generally sense my love. They will act as their caretaker/owner molds them to be.

Alan and his wife, Inna, took care of my 2 senior kitties while I was away - one needs 2x daily meds. They were very conscientious, friendly, and communicated clearly throughout. I appreciated that they arrived a day early to do a meet-and-greet and go over care instructions before I left and texted updates while I was away. They were also very gracious in extending their sit an extra day when I extended my trip an extra day. I'm grateful for the care they provided and would use them again. ... MORE

Alan came alone and was a pleasure to be with and orient to taking care of Castor. Besides driving me to and from the San Diego airport as agreed, he kindly fixed a light bulb out of my reach after buying a replacement. Excellent communication. I would be happy to have him back.

Alan and his wife watched over our fur babies as we were across the country. Their communication was key in allowing us to have a wonderful vacation. Knowing the animals were being loved and well cared for. They took great care of our animals and home while we were away. It was nice returning to a clean home and happy animals. Would highly recommend and have back in a heartbeat.
