We are a 64 & 53 year old non-smoking, honest and dependable couple available to take care of your home and pets. Our years of experience along with our references from previous clients will attest to these qualities that a home & pet owner would look for when leaving their prized possessions, home and adoring pets in our care.

We are able to provide security for your property and true companionship for your pets by working online from the comfort of your home (unlimited internet is a necessity).

We have been house/pet sitting for over 10 years on a variety of properties ranging from off-the-grid islands to central city locations. We have dealt with various daily tedious issues that any homeowner can relate to as well as the ones they dread - from digging out in a blizzard to preparing for a hurricane. We have experience with solar power, rain water catchment and overseeing regular staff.

We will stay in touch with you as much (or as little) as you want - we can collect your mail and forward any details as needed plus give you regular updates on your home and pets.

What really makes sitting such a great experience for us is that we thoroughly enjoy looking after beloved pets.

Our sitting experiences include:

* A five-month off-the-grid sit with two beach loving rottweilers on a thirteen acre tropical property on the island of Vieques;

* A month with five enjoyable "potcake" dogs on an unique oceanfront property in Eleuthera, Bahamas;

* Two-months with two active dogs in the lovely village of Rothbury in Northumberland, UK.

* One month on a private island only accessible by boat in the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas caretaking an off-the-grid property with organic gardens, chickens and a koi fish pond.

* Two months in the central west end of St. Louis with two affectionate indoor cats, two spunky dachshunds and several large fishtanks.

* Five six-month sits in various locations throughout Mexico including:

-Several times in the colonial mountain town of Patzcuaro with one wonderful Thai Ridgeback who has plenty of dog kisses for us every we return to the lovely home within walking distance of local markets and the central plaza;
-The charming lakeside village Erongaricuaro with a delightful Labrador Retriever and two curious cats;
-Three different properties (a home, an inn and a b&b) in the beach town of San Pancho, all with a dog, cats or multiples of either.
-One oceanfront in a small beach village near Zihuatanejo, with two fun-loving dogs who enjoyed the beach as much as we did.

*Coastal Maine, taking care of a lovely marsh-front home and a character of a cat in the dead of New England winter.

*Vermont, looking after a charming farm home on 50 acres nested against national forest with two wonderful dogs who were always up for a hike, a brood of temperamental egg-laying hens and one lively rooster.

*Five months in a small western Massachusetts town on a family run maple farm looking after a sweet dog, unique home and garden while helping with several aspects of their home based syrup business.

*Hanover, MA in Plymouth County with two Golden Retrievers that loved their daily long walks and relaxing at our sides in their lovely home in the evening.

*A wonderfully located home in the beautiful city of Savannah with four indoor cats, all with their own unique personalities.

*Caring for a sweet Rottie mix be great hone with tropical landscaping in an amazingly tranquil neighborhood in south Miami.

*A month in the Florida Keys with two laid back & happy dogs who loved their daily walk to the water.

*Looking after two wonderful cats in a custom-built "small style living" home in Asheville, NC.

*Sitting for sitters in the suburbs of Atlanta, minding their home and sweet cats while they were on a sit of their own.

*Three months in the amazingly gorgeous Malabar, FL with three indoor cats who loved spending time at our sides.

*Taking care of a curious cat who enjoyed exploring and showing us his owners' tropical fruit gardens in Delray Beach.

*Sitting for two playful Frenchtons and 5 egg laying hens close to the beach in Carlsbad, CA. We also assisted with the owners' AirBnB vacation cottage on property.

*Several repeat sit 25 miles north of Manhattan with two (now departed) wonderful Giant Schnauzers & one rescue tiny mix in a stunning property.

*Three months in the winter/spring looking after a sweet dog and lovely home in a quaint beach-side town on the Jersey Shore.

*Six months in central coastal Florida with a spunky cat who helped us prep for a category 4 hurricane (every year since 2016)

*Downtown Seattle penthouse with a fun young cat over Christmas and New Years.

*Lovely Manchester, VT townhome with lovable indoor cat over Thanksgiving.

*Downtown Boston apartment with 2 adorable cats to keep us company over Christmas & New Years.

*Four months with 2 wonderful indoor cats in an amazing riverfront condo on Daniel Island (Charleston)

*4-5 winter/spring months for 4 years looking after another cat with a big personality in a quaint Cape Cod town

*6 months looking after 3 big personality mini-schnauzers in a luxurious waterfront condo overlooking the Kennedy Space Center.


We enjoy traveling while making new friends as we are looking after their homes and pets. We do prefer housesits of at least a month in length, but are willing to consider a shorter duration if it fits in our travels. We also love taking care of pets - with our traveling lifestyle we are unable to have our own.

Heather and John have house/cat sat for me a number of times. They keep my place in great shape (cleaner than when I left it). They are really good with the cats - not just feeding but giving them attention and playing with them. They also pay careful attention to rules -I live in a condo with lots of "rules" and there has never been a problem. I plan to continue to use them when they are available.

Wonderful, dependable and conscientious. My fluffy cat was loved and brushed every day. (not easy). My house was cleaner than I left it. She welcomed us home with homemade dinner and dessert. Heather volunteered locally, adding to the community during her stay. We could not have been happier with her and she is always our first call when we leave home. A "5" (the best) in all categories.

Heather and John sat for our four cats for about nine days. They were so pleasant and easy to communicate with and took excellent care of our cats and home. We have an older cat that requires special care AND a cat with separation anxiety issues (who goes outside the box on occasion) and they were completely at ease with all of these issues. They took great care of our home and everything was neat and tidy when we returned. We highly recommend them and would love to have them sit for us again!
