I'm an experienced pet care provider and long time lover of dogs, cats and other animals of all kinds. In past years I've worked for a farm animal sanctuary, managed an animal shelter, and I received my humane officer certification. I believe in a gentle and calm approach to pet care and strive to care for every pet as if they were my own. I have a good reputation as a reliable, detail oriented, and trustworthy caretaker. You can rest assured that your fur-babies will be safe and happy while in my care and I will closely follow any special directions and/or requests.
My house sitting skills are top notch as well. I am hyper-responsible, respectful, clean and tidy. Many of my past clients would say I am known to leave their homes cleaner than I found them and I have yet to lose a houseplant on any of my watches.
When I'm not providing house sitting and pet care, I enjoy photographing landscapes and road tripping throughout the country in search of beautiful scenery. As a bit of a nature junkie, I like to hike, bike, kayak, and camp whenever I get the chance. I also enjoy spending time writing, reading, cooking, learning new skills, and am always planning for future travel. As a minimalist, I travel light and enjoy a quiet lifestyle rich in experiences.
I am fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19.
Kristin was absolutely lovely. I came home after a month away to a clean house, a happy cat, and thriving plants - what more could you hope for? Kristin sent photos and warm messages, letting me know how things were going. I would ask for Kristin again anytime without reservation (in fact, I already have and she's not free when I'm on my next trip!). I recommend her highly.
Kristin was an amazing house/pet sitter- for the first time I was actually able to relax while I was away from home. Her instincts with Sacho were great, and she always let me know about his day or behavior! The house was super clean and tidy when I got back as well. Overall, Kristin was 10/10 and was particularly great at loving and caring for Sacho. She will be my contact wherever I go next!
Kristin has a laugh that lights up a room. A very genuine person. Great communication. A true natural with animals and a love of nature with an eye to capture a beautiful vista. It was a pleasure meeting Kristin and would definitely recommend her as a house sitter. We will plan to invite her back, we can only hope her busy calendar can accommodate another visit :) to the Finger Lakes.
Kristen arrived the day before we left and I immediately felt comfortable with her. Tallulah our kitty took her easily as well. While we were away Kristen sent us pictures of our little girl, which we loved. When we returned home the house was clean and Tallulah didn't seem like she missed us at all! I was so pleased with Kristen and will use her again should our schedules align.
I can't say enough wonderful things about Kristin. We have a houseful of animals and she took wonderful care of them all and our house. She communicated throughout our stay and was quick to respond to any questions. I would have her stay at our home again and highly recommend.
