Hello, I'm Audrey!
I grew up in Chicago with a variety of pets and dreamed of working with animals since I got my first cat, Oliver, at the age of 7. I have cared for animals my whole life and started professionally Pet Sitting and Dog Walking in 2014 within my local community. During this time, I noticed a niche in the market for pets with special needs, so I focused my services onto these animals that other Pet Care Providers turned away due to their inexperience or discrimination, helping me grow a clientele and improve my pet care services. I established my own pet care company to expand this work and to continue growing my knowledge, experience, and unconditional love of all animals in my career! To put it simply, I have a deep love for animals and can't see myself living without them, so what better way to share my love than to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home?
I foster and volunteer for my local humane society, caring for their animals and assisting with community events. I worked part-time at a pet grooming salon where I bathed dogs and cats while tending to their needs, and also volunteered at a horse ranch, handling horses and aiding the ranch hands. I currently work part-time as a Veterinary Technician in northern Chicago.
I am certified in Pet First Aid & CPR and can administer topical, oral, and injected medications, plus I travel with a First Aid Kit to keep myself prepared for emergency situations that require immediate attention. I am completely against breed discrimination, so I have absolutely no breed preferences!
Before booking, I would like to know how many pets would be under my care and if there are any training procedures or limitations I should be aware of and enforce. For example, what specific words and hand signals do you use for training commands? Do you prefer I avoid letting pets jump on furniture or lick when they greet people? Are they allowed throughout their home or kenneled when left alone? It is your house, so your rules shall be applied to provide consistency for your pets.
I would also like to be informed about any special needs your pet might have, such as medications or possible behavioral concerns (food aggressions, separation anxiety, temperament with other animals or strangers, etc.). Anything of the sort, please express it so I am aware and more understanding of their needs.
