Hi,
We are experienced house sitters with many great references. Being a bit older (57 & 63) we may be a bit more reliable than most... We are retired, nonsmokers, love to walk on the beach every day, can stay at home and we are very quiet. I am a Kiwi/American and my hubby is an American. As some background, I have owned and operated my own health clinic in the USA called Peace of Mind Body, I have my level 3 Horticulture Certificate, love to garden and I am known as green fingers to my friends and family and have managed many gardens and properties. My husband owned and operated a mortgage company for more than 25 years, so you can rest assured that were reliable and trustworthy. For your convenience, a few references are copied below. If you are looking for pet sitters, Erica and Fred are the best you could possibly be lucky enough to get! They looked after our dogs for a month and a half while we were away. Our eldest dog is 8 and we have never gone on a holiday without leaving him with family, however this was a family holiday and we carefully interviewed and selected Erica and Fred. Erica and Fred are incredibly calm, loving and gentle but they are so caring that our pets actually seem more relaxed now! One of our dogs comes from a bad home and this was our biggest concern. They are both toy poodles and he is a small, delicate, sweet boy. He is very attached to me and never leaves my side. He bonded with Erica and I could tell through the many pictures we received from them, that he was content and happy. She truly took him under her wing and he bonded with her, which he really never does with anyone and generally will hide from other people. He definitely felt her loving energy and relaxed. We also had just moved a few days prior to departing into our new home and didn't really get to feel out the place. Erica and Fred took care of our home and a few minor issues without bothering us. They were lovely enough to always say 'don't worry, just enjoy your holiday'. When we returned our home was immaculate! I didn't expect Erica to clean however the day we came home after over 24 hours in transit, she had even put on the diffusers in our rooms! Truly they both went beyond our expectations and took wonderful care of our pets and home. I cannot speak highly enough of Erica and Fred. They are beyond loving and caring and if you get the opportunity to meet them you will see that immediately. They will take care of your pets better than you, I promise! And I take care of my dogs like I do my kids! They didn't mind cooking for our babies and even created little rituals like Sunday bath day with them. I know my pets better than anyone and I know they had a wonderful time. We feel so blessed to have found this wonderful couple and now we know we can go on holidays without worrying about our boys or our home. For anyone considering these two lovely people, please give me a call as I could go on all day about how great they are and how happy your pets will be!

As someone brand new to having a house and pet sitter, I was extremely nervous about finding the right person to look after my two dogs and home. My dogs have always been with family and are treated as humans so there are times that they forget they are dogs! After posting my ad for a house and pet sitter, Erica and Fred responded in such a positive and friendly manner that I felt at ease even before meeting them. They came and met me and the dogs before I left and the dogs were very relaxed with them and I had a huge sigh of relief that my dogs and home would be in great hands. I was not disappointed. Erica and Fred did a great job looking after my dogs, especially as one of them is highly anxious and always remains close to my side. They sent me photos of the dogs 'chilling out' which once again reassured me that all was fine.
Upon returning home, I found my home beautiful and clean and both my dogs happy and content. Erica and Fred had washed everything and I had a freshly made bed to come home to.
I can highly recommend Erica and Fred as house and pet sitters. They are a wonderful couple who are calm, caring, friendly and very loving to your pets. They popped in for a visit after my return and both my dogs were so happy to see them - I think this is the true testimonial of how great they were.

It gives me great pleasure to write this recommendation for Erica and Fred as excellent house-sitters!
We went away for 5 weeks and left our cat, Poogie, and our home in their care. Poogie was well looked after and quite content when we returned and the house was impeccably clean and tidy. They looked after our place as if it were their own. They handled the few issues that arose with the house with the house and left us to enjoy our vacation. Erica and Fred communicated with us often through email and are a lovely couple.

They looked after our property for five weeks whilst we were overseas, as well as looking after the house and garden, they had the responsibility of caring for Darwin our" English Blue Staffy".
The house was as we left it, the garden had been well watered and the lawn looked lovely, Darwin, had been regularly exercised twice a day and looked in lovely condition. he really missed them when they left.
When we arrived home in the evening Fred had a meal prepared for us, a very nice surprise.

It gives me much pleasure to provide this reference for Fred and Erica as House Sitters.

Fred and Erica looked after our house, animals, and property for three months from June to September 2012. We moved to Australia to work so literally dropped everything and left, throwing them in at the deep end with our 23 acre lifestyle block including stock (sheep, cattle, pigs and chickens), our home, and our two very precious dogs.

They did a fantastic job at caring for all our animals including lambing sheep and choosing to bottle feed two ram twins whose mother abandoned them. This was a huge undertaking and commitment and we were very grateful to them for making that decision. Our pigs (two sows and a boar) had 23 small piglets when Fred and Erica arrived and they were well cared for, fed daily and looked perfect when we returned. Our two dogs (who we grieved over leaving) were well loved, happy, healthy and had clearly bonded with Fred and Erica when we returned. Our dogs are very selective who they bond with so we were impressed. We are very grateful for the genuine care of our dogs.

Fred and Erica went above and beyond what most house sitters would do I believe. We remained in contact usually via email and they were always very interested in what we were doing and gave us open and honest reports on everything at our 23 acre property. Fred willingly scanned and emailed any mail or documents of importance which made life easy for us.

Upon our return our home was immaculate and had been well looked after.

We cannot speak highly enough of this couple as house / pet / animal sitters. Finding them was such a blessing; we consider ourselves very lucky to have had them care for our lifestyle, animals and home, and to have met them. We will remain good friends.

If you are fortunate enough to have Fred and Erica want to house sit for you, then I would suggest you allow them to do it. It is a pleasure to recommend them.

We were sent photos of our pets regularly and when they needed minor medical attention in our absence it was dealt with swiftly and effectively. Erica & Fred came to my property in Bali as a house/pet sitter from September 2018 until March 2019, and I am already looking forward to the day they will be back in July 2019 till end of this year. I am currently working abroad for a job assignment and therefore I needed a long-term house/pet sitter, and Erica & Fred are just a perfect match. I have 4 rescue dogs & 1 rescue cat and who all live in my house in Bali. Erica & Fred have taken care of the house & the furry pets like it was their own home & pets, I could not have wished for anyone better than both. They have mastered 4 dogs & 1 cat on daily basis, driving through Bali traffic with the car to bring them all to the beach for their daily walk. Erica would check their vaccine book and tell me when a updated vaccination was in need, she would take them to the vet if they had any issues and always updated me, as I said both of them just cared as if they were their own pets. I can only highly recommend both, they are super trustworthy, honest and just beautiful people I had the pleasure to meet, and I am eternal grateful for all they have done. We asked Erica and Fred to watch our dog Bailey for a few of weeks while we were overseas.

They were great house sitters. Bailey immediately took to them and enjoyed having them around from the very start.

Communication with Erica was efficient and easy, and they were able to come and see the property and meet Bailey before we left. While we were away we enjoyed receiving photo updates of Bailey having a lovely time with Erica and Fred.

Aside from taking great care of Bailey, Erica and Fred also took really good care of our house and garden. When we got home it was cleaner and tidier than how we left it!

Erica and Fred arrived the day before I was due to fly out on holidays for 3 weeks.
I felt very comfortable with them in my home, as I settled them in and showed them around the area.
They are respectful, practical and intelligent people. By the time I was leaving I felt very confident all would be well.
I have an elderly dog that has his food warmed morning and night, as well as 3 different medications every day. He has two short walks a day, and likes lots of company. I am absolutely sure that they honored following with his routine and requirements. They sent little updates and photos which I appreciated.
I am very in tune with my dog, that when I came home, I felt he had been looked after very well, he was exactly as I had left him.
I suspect he fell in love with Erica and Fred, because he spent two nights in a row pacing the house looking for them.
Erica and Fred are very calm, kind and considerate people, and I would not hesitate ever asking them to come back to housesit. The house was in excellent condition and clean, there was food in the fridge for me use also.
Most importantly for me, my dog was obviously very well cared for, I am so grateful for that.
